With hotel room demand still soft, securing return reservations from guests at check-out time is critical, one expert says. Front-desk staff should be trained to be able to offer and secure reservations on the spot, and problems with cumbersome, older PMS systems easily can be overcome with a one-page form that streamlines the process.
