Store-brand products can gain name-brand status

With no marketing campaign behind it, Wal-Mart's private label dog food, Ol' Roy, has become the nation's top-selling brand. Store-brand suppliers are turning to more sophisticated packaging and retailers position their own labels more prominently, resulting in recent sales growth double that of national brands.
