A growing problem with peanut butter allergies, along with a decision to boost sunflower producers, has prompted the USDA to add sunflower seed butter to its commodity list for school food service programs. While it has sold well in grocery stores, many are skeptical about whether sunflower seed butter will ever be as popular as peanut butter in school cafeterias.
