Study: Gastric bypass surgery okay for patients over 60

New research on gastric bypass surgery indicates while younger patients lost more weight and had a greater decline in body mass index, older patients were better able to reduce the number of medications they normally took. The researchers concluded patients 60 years and older could be considered good candidates for obesity surgery.
