Study: Supplements mostly ineffective for arthritis

The supplements glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate do little to reduce osteoarthritis pain, but they may offer some relief for patients with more severe knee throbbing, according to a new study. The findings suggest that people with severe arthritis should talk to their health care providers about taking the supplements, the researchers said.
