Comair sues FAA over Kentucky crash

Comair has filed a lawsuit charging the FAA was negligent in having just one air traffic controller on duty on Aug. 27 at the Lexington, Ky., airport. A Comair plane crashed after taking off from the wrong runway, killing 49 people. The FAA needed two controllers working in the tower, Comair says.
