Adaptive sports change winter outlook for people with special needs

Adaptive winter sports such as sled hockey and adaptive skiing are becoming more popular among people with physical disabilities. "The trend is nothing short of revolutionary," says Kirk Bauer, executive director of Disabled Sports USA, which offers sports programs to anyone with a permanent disability. "No matter where you live, you're likely only a couple hours away from an adaptive program."
