Immigration lawyers vocal opponents of visa-related stimulus provision

Immigration lawyers are highly critical of the Sanders-Grassley amendment, saying that banning financial institutions receiving certain federal funds from hiring H-1B visa holders for two years will lock out top talent and further injure the economy. The American Immigration Lawyers Association has come out strongly against the measure, saying it is "blatantly protectionist" and a "fear-driven policy that will stymie growth."
