Microsoft to examine whether video games promote learning

Microsoft, which has invested $1.5 million in the Games for Learning Institute, is studying whether video games can teach math, science and technology lessons that could translate into classroom success. Researchers at the University of Wisconsin previously reported that the video game "World of Warcraft" can promote scientific thinking.
