Texas city to use FAA grant to ready runway project

Wichita Falls, Texas, will use a $371,563 grant from the FAA to get a runway rehabilitation project "shovel ready" to receive funds from the government's $787 billion economic-stimulus package. The package includes $1.1 billion in general aviation funding, and Wichita Falls will need to compete with other Texas airports to win a stimulus grant for the new runway at its municipal airport.
