Adria: El Bulli will become a food foundation

Chef Ferran Adria says his famed El Bulli restaurant will become a nonprofit organization in 2014, dedicated to the study of avant-garde gastronomy. The foundation will grant 20 to 25 scholarships a year to chefs and other industry professionals, and one goal will be to create a comprehensive encyclopedia of contemporary cuisine, he said.
