High school pilot tackles flying before driving

High school sophomore Chris Gannon piloted his first solo flight on his 16th birthday, even before he learned how to drive. "I'd pictured in my head how it would go, not thinking about it and just flying like I had the past year-and-a-half," Gannon said. Gannon flew a Cessna 172 Skyhawk from the Oakland/Southwest Airport in New Hudson, Mich.
