Testing liquid detects Type A foot-and-mouth disease

The National Veterinary Research and Quarantine Service in South Korea said it has developed a testing liquid that uses recombined genes instead of a live virus to identify Type A foot-and-mouth disease among animals. The agency said the liquid is the first of its kind and could be on the market this year.
