Walnuts provide vascular benefit in diabetes patients

A Yale University study has found that adults with Type 2 diabetes saw a noticeable improvement in blood vessel health after eating a diet rich in walnuts. The researchers say the positive effect on endothelium function and plasma lipids may be because of the nuts' nutritional content, including omega-3 fatty acids.
