Nurses are vital in ambulatory care settings, group says

The American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing, in a position statement, touted the importance of registered nurses in ambulatory care settings, saying RNs are vital in improving patient care and safety as well as in providing leadership and care coordination. The group said the new health care law will increase demand for medical services and more specialty RNs will be needed to promote wellness and deliver patient care.
