Mobile players align on privacy policies for apps

Six leading mobile industry players have agreed with California Attorney General Kamala Harris that applications should include easy to understand privacy policies. Apple, Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Research in Motion and Hewlett-Packard will ask app developers to build privacy policies into their apps. The agreement does not require the participating companies to police developers or jettison their products if they are found to be not in compliance.
