Obama tax plan would be a mixed bag for some companies

Retailers, health care providers and some manufacturing companies are likely to benefit under President Barack Obama's proposal to overhaul corporate taxes, according to this analysis. However, multinationals that keep certain assets offshore could see their effective tax rate go up. The proposal also calls for a 25% tax rate for manufacturers, with the goal of increases for research and development and clean-energy production.
