Alaska 5th-graders become historical wax figures

Fifth-graders at Auke Bay Elementary School in Juneau, Alaska, recently wrapped up a six-week research project on biographies by posing as "wax" figures in the school's annual museum event. During two separate presentations -- one to the school and another to family members -- students gave a short speech to share information gathered from multiple sources about their historical figure. The students portrayed a variety of famous figures, including Louis Armstrong, Abraham Lincoln and Rosa Parks.
