Supreme Court to begin hearing case on EPA's greenhouse-gas permitting rule

The U.S. Supreme Court is scheduled to hear arguments today on a case challenging the Environmental Protection Agency's authority for emissions permitting. The program is "one of the boldest seizures of legislative authority by an executive agency in history," said Peter Keisler, a lawyer representing the American Chemistry Council. The ACC is among the manufacturing and industry groups challenging the rule.
