Black & Veatch to construct missile defense facilities

Black & Veatch, Overland Park, has received a five-year, $30 million contract through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to perform architectural and engineering services supporting the infrastructure of the Ground-based Midcourse Defense System. The system is part of the Ballistic Missile Defense System, which allows the United States to intercept and destroy ballistic missiles before they strike.
