Certification process helped teaching, students, NBCT says

Twelve teachers in Mississippi's Lee County recently earned National Board Certification, bringing the district's total to 57. "It is very rigorous," newly certified teacher Kay Davis said of the application process. "I did it to improve my teaching. It just gave me a more positive impact on my performance as a teacher, and I saw the positive impact on my students."
