House Democrats propose funding for Everglades restoration

A spending bill proposed by House Democrats includes $183.4 million for restoration work in the Everglades. Lawmakers who support the bill also say it would create construction jobs in Florida. The funds would help the federal government meet its commitment to pay for half of the construction costs under a comprehensive restoration plan.
