Malta's English programme attracts more than 1 million students

About 1 million students worldwide have travelled to Malta to study English as a second language since it was first taught there in the 1960s. Francis Stivala, principal of NSTS Language Institute, said he hopes to improve spoken English in Malta, which ranks first internationally in the number of students travelling there to study English in relation to its total population.
