VSS expects deep ad declines in traditional media

Private equity firm Veronis Suhler Stevenson is predicting dramatic declines in traditional advertising spending, saying that 2009 will mark the first two-year decline in spending in 75 years. Newspapers and broadcast TV and consumer magazines are expected to be hit especially hard. Spending this year for Internet and mobile services is expected to grow by 9.1%.
