EPA chief outlines schedule, possible changes to GHG rules

Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lisa Jackson wrote to Sen. Jay Rockefeller, D-W.Va., and explained that the agency will not require stationary sources of greenhouse gases to obtain Clean Air Act permits until 2011. Jackson hinted that the EPA could raise its reporting threshold to "substantially higher" than the initial proposal of 25,000 tons of carbon dioxide equivalent annually.
