Florida general aviation airport to install solar panels

Page Field General Aviation Airport in Fort Myers, Fla., could be fueled by solar power soon. Airport committee members approved a $16.1 million budget for building a new terminal complex at the airport, which includes $1.6 million for solar panels. "I haven't heard that (solar power) is widespread" at GA airports, said Chris Dancy, spokesman for the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
