Reid promises to bring surface transportation bill to vote

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., has promised to bring a long-term surface transportation bill to a vote by the end of 2010. Sen. George Voinovich, R-Ohio, agreed to back a $15 billion jobs bill once he had assurance on the surface transportation bill. "Leader Reid gave me his commitment that he will bring the reauthorization of a multi-year surface transportation bill to the floor for a vote this year," Voinovich said.
