Verizon Wireless has detailed the conditions for subscribers to use the Skype service, saying they will still need to buy a voice plan when they buy any of the phones that contain the software. Only customers making Skype-to-Skype calls will see any of the usual VoIP-based discounts: Verizon Wireless will bill Skype to wireline or conventional cell phones in the U.S. at its usual rates, according to the carrier.
