Google improves its SDK for Maps

Google is releasing an updated Google Maps software developers kit for iOS devices, with "support for ground overlays, gesture control and geodesic polylines," wrote Google's Andrew Foster in a blog post. Google now has four top-25 free applications on the App Store. "What's truly remarkable is that Apple has its own versions of some of these apps, and that Google declines to exclusively offer these services for Android devices, instead offering them free on its competitor's device," writes John McDermott.
