Scientists in France work to harness star power

Researchers are working in the south of France on the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor, known as ITER, which they hope in a decade or so will harness the power of a star, eventually solving the world's energy problems for millions of years to come. The reactor, funded by 35 countries with financing so complicated that it has its own currency, is being built near Aix-en-Provence.
