High Schools Applauded For Revamping Class Schedules

Some New York City private high schools have adopted class schedules that rotate on a six- to 10-day basis. For example, students would take Spanish and biology on Monday, English and math on Tuesday, continuing until the schedule resets. Most classes last about 80 minutes, allowing ample for discussing course material. Some education policy experts praise rotating schedules for decreasing the amount of time students spend changing classes.
