McClellan move from FDA to CMS could be delayed over reimport issue

Mark McClellan's move from the FDA, where he was in charge of guaranteeing drug safety, to Medicare, where his job is to get cheap medicine in the hands of the elderly, could be delayed by the drug reimportation issue. Senators who will consider his nomination to head the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services plan to take their time to consider, among other issues, his campaign against allowing U.S.-made drugs to be reimported from Canada and other nations.
