Pittsburgh sports authority boosts efforts to build convention center hotel

Efforts to build a 500-room hotel next to the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh got a boost this week when the organization behind the venture, the Pittsburgh-Allegheny County Sports & Exhibition Authority, recruited commercial mortgage banker Holliday Fenoglio Fowler to help finalize the deal making Forest City Enterprises of Cleveland the builder on the project.
