House expected to vote on energy taxes

Congressional leaders are mulling a tax plan that would shift incentives from the oil and gas industry to renewable energy and conservation. House leaders may repeal $17.6 billion in tax incentives for the largest oil companies to pay the tab. Repealing oil-industry tax incentives will be a disincentive to investors and would likely prompt refinery jobs to be moved overseas, said Mark Kibbe, API senior tax analyst.
