Karate kicks up social skills for some with Asperger's syndrome

Martial arts are helping some Connecticut children with mild autism improve their social skills, body awareness and mirroring abilities. "We were kind of surprised to how well he seemed to like the karate," said parent Noreen Simmons. "He likes to be around other kids but he really just doesn't know how to start talking to [them]."
