North Carolina biotech center aims to create more jobs

The North Carolina Biotechnology Center, which has received an additional $83 million from the state Legislature, is working to shore up research and innovations, produce more life science jobs, and attract more biotech companies and investors. The state also has worked to promote biofuels, nanotechnology and medical devices, in addition to R&D, for the area's biotech industry.
