Report: Repeat transplants on the rise

Transplant patients are living longer and wearing out their donated kidneys, meaning some have to undergo retransplantation. The number of repeat kidney transplants in 2005 was 40% higher than a decade ago, according to a report. Researchers are trying to determine why kidneys are wearing out, and what can be done to make them last longer.
