Yahoo! execs offer sneak peek at new ad platform

Yahoo! CEO Jerry Yang and president Sue Decker gave a preview of the portal's online ad sales platform Apex, during a session at the Interactive Advertising Bureau's Ecosystem 2.0 conference. Apex -- short for Advertiser-Publisher Exchange -- is designed to allow advertisers to place search, banner, mobile and video ads via a single interface. The pair didn't break any news about the Microsoft buyout effort, but Yang did say the bid has "been a galvanizing thing for everybody at Yahoo!"
