4 healthy habits can significantly reduce stroke risk

Not smoking, physical activity, moderate alcohol consumption, and intake of at least five servings of fruits and vegetables daily can have a significant impact on stroke risk, according to a study of 20,040 men and women ages 40 to 79. Participants who followed none of these behaviors had a 2.3 times higher risk of stroke than people who followed all of the behaviors.
