FDIC chief: No need to hide results of stress tests:

Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. Chairwoman Sheila Bair said she wants bank stress-test results to be made public, perhaps via announcements by the banks themselves. Bair is also calling for buffers to protect banks from worsening economic conditions. "I think the big issue is how much of an additional buffer they have to withstand more adverse economic situations, and that's something we're going to try to figure out with a stress test," she said.
