Google finds rivals in mobile search

Google is facing competition in the mobile-search arena as a pair of startups, human-powered ChaCha and Mobile Content Networks, are asserting their parity with the market leader. Nielsen ranked ChaCha seventh among the top 10 SMS messaging services, saying its search volume reached 70% of Google's total in the fourth quarter while MCN said Wednesday that it had enlisted Fox Mobile's Jamba and Jamster -- content sites -- to use MCN's allwords vertical paid-search program.
