Stimulus package effect on construction, economy, will be gradual

The construction industry will start to feel some benefits from the economic stimulus package in the second half of this year, according to economist Dave Zwiche. He said the package may not boost the broader economy and the construction industry until 2010. Meanwhile, American Institute of Architects economist Kermit Baker said business conditions may improve because the stimulus package includes funding for municipalities to raise bonds.
