Travel agents and tour operators are attributing the increase in bookings for travel to Europe this year to a stronger dollar and pent-up demand. "Right now 2010 is shaping up to be one of the best years -- if not the best -- we have ever seen," said Marc Kazlauskas, CEO of Insight Vacations. Jennifer Halboth at Globus also said she believes large cruise ships have helped boost interest. "The ocean liners did a phenomenal job these last few years getting some people to go to Europe -- many for the first time," Halboth said.
