Combination HRT raises women's risk of lung cancer

Hormone replacement therapy containing estrogen and progestin increases the risk of lung cancer in women, according to study data. Women who used the combination HRT for 10 years or more were almost 50% more likely to be diagnosed with lung cancer compared with nonusers, even after taking into consideration age and smoking history.
