Diving coach with hearing impairments helps students to succeed

Eric Ognibene, who cannot hear, has helped at least one student reach state-level competition in each of his 12 years as a diving coach for Texas' Carrollton school district. Ognibene, whose hearing was damaged by a case of German measles his mother contracted while he was in utero, was himself a state champion diver and became the first diver who cannot hear to earn a spot on the U.S. diving team.
