New gifted program garners praise in Illinois district

A program for the top 3% of middle-school students in an Illinois district is drawing praise from parents and educators who say it is keeping students challenged. Three teachers collaborated with administrators to develop the gifted curriculum for the district's Infinity Program, which allows students to take a deeper look at core subjects. Educators also work to accommodate students' preferred learning styles, which they say vary among students.
