Not all eligible children with asthma have insurance coverage

Expanding coverage and enrolling all eligible children in Medicaid or the Children's Health Insurance Program could reduce the number of uninsured children with asthma by 75%, a study found. The report said 1.17 million children with asthma are uninsured, with 600,000 who are eligible but not enrolled in the programs and 180,000 who could be covered if eligibility were expanded.
