Study finds most health IT departments reported breaches

A 2009 report by the Ponemon Institute showed that 80% of the health information technology teams surveyed had experienced security breaches. Among the five most common gaps in an organization's IT security infrastructure were solutions that have no integrated or privileged-based accessibility and a lack of log-in tracking systems, the report noted.
