Surgeon seeks to offset cost of patient's reconstructive surgery

A plastic surgeon in Beverly Hills, Calif., is asking breast implant manufacturers to offset the cost of reconstructive surgery for a patient whose life may have been saved by a saline implant when she was shot in the chest at close range. The dental worker's surgeon, Dr. Ashkan Ghavami, says her size-D implants helped absorb the impact of a bullet when a co-worker's husband opened fire in her office last year.
