Foundation chooses online network for research platform grant

The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has given Web-based network PatientsLikeMe a $1.9 million grant for the development of an open-participation research platform that could be used to enhance patient-centered health outcome measures. "We believe it has the potential to help researchers better understand the course of disease and open up important paths for the development of new therapies," said Brian Quinn, RWJF's Pioneer Portfolio team director.
